The Conflict of Identity between the Self and the Other: A Cultural Reading of Postponed Gallery the Third Painting

Abstract

This is a research of the novel Postponed Gallery / the Third Painting, a brief cultural reading in a human experience containing richness and artistic colors in writing, and the subject of reading is the conflict between self and others. The novel is based on the basic theme of the human being as a supreme value represented by values: spiritual, mental and social and cultural status, as well as the details surrounding the human self-realization and diversity in various forms and drawing a firm spatial identity, and the research came in three dimensions (self-dissociated conflict, and the conflict of the real world, and conflict narrative vision).Our work is based on a narrative text that represents a human experience in which a lot of richness and artistic stylization is in line with the idea to be critically addressed and revealed in literature, namely, the conflict of identity between the self and the other. And social and cultural status, as well as the details of the person surrounding the realization of self-realization and the Nawal in all its forms and draw a strong spatial identity.   The narrator builds his novel on the style of instant narration and narrative narration to present the events and elements. These two types of narratives are used by the narrator to reveal the past and present of the stark personality of the events. This is done by relying on the self-narrator who speaks in the language of all other characters, expressing their thoughts, Taking the self-questioning and questioning, so-called internal dialogue technique reveals the conflicts and crises, dreams and disappointments that fall under (the hero) or (the main character).
