Schools and their development in Baghdad in the fifth and sixth centuries

Abstract

The school has the great importance in the life and the mind of people, specially, Muslims societies. This importance comes from the significance of the education in people life. At the first time, the schools began in Mosques and houses as classes to learning. Many people come to it to study. Moreover, there are great teachers and scientists of Muslims who were appointed by the ministers or Caliphs. These teachers teach the students and give lectures. After the development of teaching methods and scientific movement, especially in Baghdad and Islamic World there became special places for schools. In the 11th and 12th centuries the schools and educational system development through the building of schools. and, the diversity of sciences such as, medicine, chemistry and Islamic culture. schools helped to extend the Islamic culture over all the World
