The role of the university in developing the values of citizenship at its students

Abstract

The aim of this study was to explain the role of the university in developing the values ​​of citizenship in its students. The study sample consisted of (200) students, 100 students and 100 students. To achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire was developed which included (30) In the development of the values ​​of citizenship at the request of the student, and verified the validity of the tool presented to a group of experts and specialists, and was confirmed by the application of a sample survey of 20 students, and using the method of retesting the coefficient of stability (0.94) The use of arithmetical averages and standard deviations to analyze the responses of individuals in the study sample.


The study reached a number of results, including:



  • The role of the university in developing the values ​​of citizenship at its student, and in all its dimensions was high.

  • The university had the highest role in the development of democracy in its student body, while the university had the lowest role in developing its student affiliation.
