Abstract

The importance of studying the lives of characters from being full of political, religious and social roles and events is a sufficient reflection of the activities and roles played by these characters.


The character of the Caliph Harun al-Rashid among the most prominent figures of the era in which he lived in the first Abbasid era was marked by the era of power and prosperity and political stability, which gave way for the advancement of scientific and economic prosperity in the Abbasid state was the era of the rule of Harun al-Rashid example of the data of that era has attracted sources mentioning personal Harun al-Rashid and the roles he played, but did not put a special center to collect his travels and the purposes that led to the travel of this is not so, but the historians and researchers modernists are also not dealt with it and focused their studies and research on the character of Har Al-Rashid and his roles in an encyclopedic manner without specifying a chapter or chapter on these books, as we mentioned earlier. This led me to address this subject in my research entitled "The Books of the Caliph Haroun Al-Rashid" to address what has been missed by other scholars.
