Measuring Effectiveness of Teaching Performance for Staff Members at the College of Education / Garmian University from Students' Point of View

Abstract

        The current research aims measuring the effectiveness of teaching performance for teaching staff at the college of Education / Garmian University from students' point of view.  the researcher randomly identified (497) students to represent the research milieu  that is distributed among (10) of other departments in the college for the academic year 2019-2020. The (190) students have chosen to represent the sample. Then, the questionnaire was prepared as a research tool as well as distributed to some of pedagogy experts to verify its validity; As a result the rate agreement was (84%) percentage. The stability has been also checked by using (re-test) of (25) students of the same college. By using the Pearson correlation coefficient the stability showed (0,89%) Accordingly, the questionnaire has been distributing to the sample of research. Statistically, research shows that the effectiveness of the teaching performance for teaching staff in the College of Education / Garmian University in the field of (personal characteristics) that they take into account the individual differences between students, and the field of (lecture preparation) has shown  the way they use different resources and references for the educational material.  The field of (academic performance) has shown that they can present the scientific materials fluency, and in the field of (scientific and professional competencies) they can even answer students' questions outside teaching hours, and in the field of (activities and evaluation) they take into account the comprehensiveness of the tests for the all aspects of the curriculum.
