The Social Values in poetry of AL-Namir Ibn Tawlab

Abstract

Old Arabic poetry still rich in images and meanings—a matter that enables us to borrow from its culture and thus to establish our philosophy  towards society. This study aims at elaborating on moral values represented in Namir Ibn Tawlab’s poetry. The moral values that the examined poet tackles are generosity, social relations, ethical values and the like. The study follows the descriptive analytical approach.
