Spatial Analysis of Safe Motherhood Indicators Registered in Middle Euphrates Governorates for 2017

Abstract

    The importance of this study is that it shows facts about the indicators of health care provided to mothers and the extent of uneven utilization.   


     The study reveals that the percentage of pregnant women visiting the health institutions in all governorates of the study area varied and decreased. The percentage of reviews in the second and third visit was recorded at (4.8%) and decreased further taking the fourth and more visits to (35.9%) of the total pregnant women. According to place of birth (90.6%) of births in the study area occurred within institutions (65%) of births occurred in health institutions and (3.3%) of all newborn are underweight in the study area, which is a good indicator of maternal nutrition. .
