Integrating an Intrinsic Strategy in Higher Education: Learner-Centered Approach in Language Teaching

Abstract

The aim of the current study is to draw attention to the limitations of the teacher-centered strategy in language teaching. The study investigates the dominant teaching strategies in higher education. A qualitative case study is used to collect data in the form of classroom observations, interviews and field notes. The results emerged from this study illustrates the need to re-think and re-form the traditional teaching practices in language teaching
