The Effect of Wheatley Model on the Development of Personal Intelligence of Second Grade Students in Islamic Education

Abstract

The present study aimed to identify the effect of Wheatley model in the achievement of second intermediate grade students in the subject of Islamic education and the development of personal intelligence for them. The research was limited to the second grade students in the left coast of Nineveh province for the academic year (2013-2014).


192 female students from Sinai School for Girls in five classes were chosen for the study for the second semester of the academic year (2013-2014). Seven topics from the book of Islamic Education were presented in the study, including biography of the Prophet and the life of the companions, may Allah please them.


The book used in the second grade is The Islamic Education for the second grade published in (2009) by Dr. Hamad Al-Kubaisi, and Dr. Abdul Sattar Hamid, Abdul Jabbar Alusi.


  The researcher used the experimental design, which is called the design of equal groups with pre- and post-test.


  The researcher chose the Sinai School for Girls, one of the schools affiliated to the Directorate of Education Nineveh, and includes the Sinai medium five divisions. A Christian student, and the main research sample consisted of (59) female students of the second intermediate grade consisting of (29) for the control group and (30) for the experimental group
