The effect of Strategy (PQ4R) on acquiring Islamic concepts and improving Investigation Skills among intermediate stage students in Iraq

Abstract

This study aimed to identify The effect of Strategy (PQ4R) on acquiring Islamic concepts and improving Investigation  Skills among intermediate stage students in Iraq. In order to achieve the objective of the study, the researcher followed the descriptive and semi-experimental method in the study. The sample of the study included (88) students from the third grade intermediate students, the number of males (44), and the number of females (44), were randomly selected from the Badr Al-Kabra  School for Boys and the Anfal  School for Girls of Anbar Education Directorate for the academic year 2019/2018.


To answer the questions of the study, the researcher prepared a test in the Investigation  Skills of the type of questions essay includes (10) paragraphs, the test application on the sample of the study after verifying its validity and stability. The researcher used arithmetical averages, standard deviations, the application of (one way ANOVA) and (Two way ANOVA) analysis, and the (Scheffe) test of the two groups. The study showed the following results: There were statistically significant differences due to the impact of the teaching strategy for the benefit  of the experimental group studied using the PQ4R strategy. And the absence of statistically significant differences between the two study groups due to the  gender on the level of Investigation  Skills  among third grade students.
