Abstract

The whole world is gripped by a wave of violence and terrorism that threatens the existence of states and societies—a matter that creates chaotic destruction in all international and regional levels and thus hampering the path of development and civilizational progress. Arab societies are among the most affected societies, they are physically and morally affected by the manifestations of extremism and terrorism. This study sheds the light upon extremism, violence, and terrorism within the social context.  The study, furthermore,  highlightes the intellectual alienation suffered by Arab youth, this is significantly examined as a concept and phenomenon that constitutes the fundamental dimensions of terrorism and its various manifestations.
