Transformation of Milieu in the Poetry of Bushra Bustani
Abstract
- The transformation of milieu in the poetry of Bushra Bustani is marked by the perfect combination of time and place. The transformations of external and internal time show the influence of time in the poet, since physical time has a profound effect on the poet. The changes in the paradox of time (recovery and anticipation) are characterized by mercury, as it is indicated in the rejection of the present in which depravity, abstraction and lack of humanity are manifested. This is embodied in the well-recognized and prominent transformation in a sense that we are moving between the past toward the future and vice versa. The transformations of the poet in the place is recognized in moving between the open and closed place, it is a transformation from the desire to get out of the places of repression to places of revelation where the spiritual spirit, and then retreat under the pressure of estrangement, surrounds itself. This indicates that the poet suffers from psychological alienation and complexion that stand without stability. The transformation between the place of the family and hostility is reflected in the fog of life for her, and the darkness and lack of self-communication, and the lack of harmony with the ocean, indicating the sense of belonging threatened.
