Financial Crises in Iraq in The Third Hijra Century Ninth Century and Means of Encountering
Abstract
Political and security events have played an essential role in the Iraqi financial crisis especially in the capital Baghdad which had went through a series of incidents of turmoil and disorder in addition to fighting and looting which caused an economic confusion in the whole country that was associated with a sharp rise in commodities and food prices , pushing such prices far beyond their normal values. The ninth century (third hijra century) had witnessed several financial problems which had negatively impacted Iraqi economic status. Therefore, research sheds light on that aspect of Iraq's economic situation , hence this research has been entitled (financial crises in Iraq in the ninths century. Third hijra century and the means to solve them). The objective of this research is to disclose these crises that infested Iraq in the era of abasys caliphs and their impact on the state treasury and exploring means of encountering such crises through a number of procedures. This research had been divided into two sections and a conclusion. The first section has tackled the most prominent financial crisis , while the second has focused on the means of encountering the over mentioned crises through many procedures among these are , loans, confiscations , trans forming goods into money . And finally to ask for support from friends. The conclusion includes several results obtained by the research.
