Impairment of Identity in Iraq after the US Occupation in 2003: A Study of the Social Side and Available Solutions

Abstract

America has launched a devastating war on Iraq in the name of freedom and human rights and other feeble arguments, including maintaining world peace by controlling the weapons of mass destruction alleged to be in Iraq. This war has affected all aspects and forms of life negatively, and identity was at the forefront of being humiliated, The American occupation forces, since the invasion of Iraq, aggravated the identity by targeting it in a pre-programmed way to destroy it. So many identities were created artificially which are far from the reality. The occupier sought to place a bleeding wound in the Iraqi body in order to impair it. Identity was the means available to make this wound. As a matter of fact, this requires the use of possible means represented by a paralyzed political process supporting figures who are characterized by opportunism, greed and inferiority. They are not hesitant to pursue their goals at any costs, and most of them came with the occupier and trained in advance in the Western intelligence services.
