Abstract

The question of identity and how to preserve it require great efforts, especially for Muslim women, who are subjected to various attacks from Western countries to take her identity away. The preservation of the identity and its distinctive features in Muslim societies is very important. The pride of women in this identity is a source of pride and self-confidence. God has distinguished the Islamic societies with a unique identity in its sources, origins, branches, and all their belongings, and from their experience and understanding. Whoever is abide by and committed to these teachings will be happy in this world and the Hereafter, and the most important thing to preserve is the correct Islamic doctrine and all Islamic rituals. The situation reached by the Muslim women today is what the Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings of God be upon him) told us , Abu Sa'eed al-Khudri - may Allah be pleased with him - said the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "You will follow the way of those who were before you, foot by foot, and arm by arm, even if they entered the hole of a lizard, you followed them." We asked the prophet "Are they the Christians?" He replied "Who else then?" The duty of Muslim women everywhere is not only to preserve the Islamic identity, but to call upon it for wisdom, good advice, and dissemination in all parts of the world because it is derived from our true religion. There are some reasons behind my choice of the subject of research (The identity of Muslim women and ways to preserve it) including:

  1. The frequent attack by Western societies to eliminate the Islamic identity of Muslim women

  2. Many Muslim women were influenced by Western society, even if it was contrary to Islamic law

  3. The weakness of the true Islamic belief in Muslim women makes it easy for the Western attack to eliminate its identity.

  4. Rarity of conferences and seminars on how to preserve the true Islamic identity of Muslim women.

  5. The role of social disintegration of women outside the home in the loss of their Muslim identity.

  6. The impact of globalization and the call for liberation by Western societies to Muslim women and their compliance with such calls.

7. Weakness of the Islamic culture is apparent in Muslim women practice which makes them influenced by Western ideas and leave the Islamic identity
