Abstract

The weight is never an end at all. It is another means of communication and intellectual expression. Within this context, Omar Annaz adopts the weight as a means to achieve unique poetics. Though he is a free verse poet, he is not restricted or confined to its rigid rules.

Omar Annaz writs his poems in a clear and simple language which the reader as well as the listener are familiar with.  Varying  between pure and compound, Annaz's language flows without going out of Khalil's weigh in many of his poems proving that modern poetry is still retaining its heredity, in spite of all the modern movements that try to reject authenticity.
