The Social development in South Korea

Abstract

In the course of its history, Korea maintained political independence and developed a distinct culture. However, it geographical location was destined to live under the influence of many foreign cultures. Thus, the social aspect teqan directly or indirectly with Pauline and Confucianism and with Japanese imperialist ideas during the Japanese colonial rule (1910-1945) and the ideas of the western democracy of America since 1945.       


        The division of the Korean peninsula by the Allies in 1945 and the imposition by the U.S administration of its military influence on the southern part for three years led to many changes in Korean society even before  the establishment of an independent educational system in the form of the American model, and revived the Korean language and history at a time when the Japanese language and history disappeared from the curriculum and so south Korea began to restore the new model of post- partition and independence to the structure of old systems and the spirit of cooperation and work and impose a curriculum in line with the new phase led by south Korean president Sangman Ree  (1948-1960) and his Democratic party to get rid of the bad situation  which  inherited Korea from the Japanese occupation.
