Abstract

This research is an attempt to link some of the influential concepts in the linguistic studies with the Arabic heritage which may approach or keep away from them, but it is hoped that it  forms a clearer vision to this linkage between the new and the old by approaching these concepts and showing the constituent elements of semiotic theory and the connection between the different aspects of linguistics which are deeply rooted in Arab heritage.
