Abstract

This research aims at identifying the intersections that occur between Jordanian slang and standard forms in grammatical methods, in order to assess the possibility of investment of the slang in teaching Arabic grammatical methods of the standard form. The Grammatical Methods are considered a pivotal cornerstone in teaching Arabic, this basically refers to its prevalence, and use in verbal and written communication. This investment is possible when dealing with students of Arab origin who are well acquainted with the slang dialect, or have lived in an Arabic community for study or work, and gained ability to speak the slang dialect. Thus becomes the slang form of the language a median that brings the student closer to the standard form, it also aids in facilitating the functional teaching and learning of the grammatical methods.
