Abstract

The Green Island Conference in 1906 was the most important event in the history of Morocco at the beginning of the twentieth century because it was like the aspirations of the colonial powers to gain in it. The United States played a prominent role by bringing together views, defending open door policy and maintaining international peace.

The research was divided into paragraphs that monitored the European competition since the beginning of the 20th century, the secret agreements on Morocco and the intensifying competition between France and Germany, which almost ignited a world war without the intervention of the United States of America by holding the Green Island Conference and taking the role of the referee in settling disputes between countries European diplomacy has succeeded in preventing a global war.
