Light and shadow in the Poetry of Dhafer Al-Haddad

Abstract

          The Phenomena of light and shadow occupied people's minds by seeing their sources on the earth and the sky . It influenced their culture and beliefs from ancient times and worked hard to explain them . It took an area of interest in international literature in general and Arabic literature in particular . When we read Zafer Al – Haddad's poetry , we find that lights and shadows are distinguished . This was in the duality of light and shadow . Thus the research tackles  the relationship between them , their indirect values, their roles in evoking the worlds of beauty, and the foresight of dreams and dreamy spaces through the sense of sight . The role of the movement and stillness of light and shadow in awakening sensitive feelings and the dimensions of beautiful artistic images.
