The Civilized Contributions for the Mua’thins (Callers for Prayer) of Nisapur in the Third and the Fourth Centuries A.H.

Abstract

This research was devoted to the study of the lives of the callers for prayer in Nisapur and their contributions in various fields of life in the third and fourth centuries of Hijrah (Migration).  It consists of an introduction, four Sections, and a conclusion. The first section introduces the city of Nisapur in terms of its name  and its geographical and political conditions. The second section includes the introduction of the basic terms mentioned in the title of the research.


    The third section deals with their religious role in giving alms to the needy people and their role in jihad in The sake of Allah via participation in the invasions and the Islamic conquests and defending the lands of the Arabian Islamic State. The researcher also considered the administrative positions they held represented by Hisba. The fourth Section is represented in the scientific movement through the teaching the Holy Qur’an, the narration of Hadith and the working in the profession of the paper craft. The last part of the paper is the conclusion which includes the findings of the study.
