Abstract

The aim of the current research is to identify the effect of using the smart board on the achievement of fifth-year literary students in mathematics. The researcher followed experimental design with partial control, and the research sample reached (50) students from the fifth-grade literary students in the preparatory  of the Martyr Ibrahim Ismail. They were chosen intentionally from the research community in the city of Kirkuk for the academic year (2012-2013) and divided them into two equal groups with a number of variables and to achieve the research goal, the achievement test was prepared and prepared by the researcher in its final form of (30) paragraphs of multiple choice type and after the completion of the experiment the researcher applied the tool on the sample individuals then analyzed the data statistically by using the T-test for two independent and interlinked samples at the level of significance (0,05). The results indicated that: There is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the post-achievement test for students of the experimental and control groups and for the benefit of the experimental group. In the light of this result the researcher came out with a number of conclusions, including the possibility of employing the smart board in our schools through computer labs as a first stage towards e-learning as well as increasing achievement, as recommended The researcher made a number of recommendations that urged the adoption of the smart board in schools and to complement the current research, he proposed several titles for future studies.
