Geographical analysis of the random settlement in the city of Samarra.

Abstract

Most of the cities in the world, especially the cities of developing countries, including Samarra, suffer from the problem of the spread of the phenomenon of random housing, and this phenomenon has negative effects on basic services and infrastructure on the planning side as well as the effects on land uses in cities. The most important problems affecting the reality of urban structure. This research aimed at shedding light on the spread of random areas and their spatial distribution in the city, while determining the characteristics and factors affecting the existence of such areas. These areas and monitoring of the most important problems resulting from them and create a distorted housing style of the city's aesthetic, which is basically lacking in many organizational aspects. Hence, this research was entitled (Geographical analysis of random settlement in the city of Samarra) The second topic dealt with the spatial distribution of the random settlement in the city of Samarra. The third topic dealt with the characteristics of random settlement in the city of Samarra, including socio-economic and educational characteristics. Solutions and treatments, reaching conclusions and recommendations as proposals to address the phenomenon, and to achieve the objectives of the study used the researcher in the collection of data and information method of field study. The study questionnaire was distributed to a sample of the study population as a main tool for collecting data and research in the field as well as office resources. The study found that this phenomenon is a result of the conditions experienced by the Iraqi country in 2003.
