The impact of the strategy of self - questioning in the development of the concepts of the Internet students in the Department of Arabic Language

Abstract

The present study aims at investigating (The effect of self- questioning strategy on developing students' internet concepts of the department of Arabic language). The study is limited to first year students in the department of Arabic language/ college education for girls alternative site for the university of Mosul in Dohuk for the academic year (2015-2016). The sample of the research comprises of (41) students which is divided into two equal groups. The control group studied according to the conventional strategy and the experimental group studied according to the self-questioning strategy. It was required to prepare test of the concepts of the internet as a research tool, composed from (30) points. Validity and reliability were examined for the research tool. Experience has been applied during the (8) weeks. Before and after the experiment on the experimental and control groups, collecting data and statistical analysis, the results showed statistically significant differences in mean scores of the pre and post tests of the concepts of the internet tests for female students in the experimental group and in favor of the post test. The results also showed that there is a statistically significant difference in the concepts of the internet test between the experimental and control groups in favor of the experimental group. in the light of the results, the researcher reached to a number of recommendations and proposals
