Abstract

The impact of regional changes on the political situation in Iraq after World War II until 1958This research dealt with the impact of Iraq on what is happening around it, especially its regional     environment and the events of the Arab world being an integral part of it, especially after the Second World War. The political changes that have emerged have had a significant impact on the political and popular situation in Iraq. And the revolution of July 23, 1952, which abolished the monarchy and declared the Republic of Egypt as well as the tripartite aggression that was exposed in 1956, which stood the Iraqi government, a position characterized by a spirit of civility and bias to the side of aggression just as denouncing the triple aggression and Britain threatened to expel them from the alliance Baghdad if it continues to count And that Egypt had a clear impact on the feelings of the free officers in Iraq and their concern for the strength and perseverance in the search for the best means to eliminate the monarchy in Iraq in 1958. With regard to the policy of alliances that dominated the political situation after the Second World War, The world to two western camps led by the United States and the eastern led by the Soviet Union Iraq entered the Baghdad alliance in 1955 along with Turkey, Iran, Pakistan and Britain, away from his Arab brothers, as well as in partnership with Jordan in the formation of the Hashemite Union in 1958 as a reaction to the establishment of the Republic The United Arab between Egypt and Syria
